Usable capacity depends not only on the number of levels but on the area of each tray and whether food fits in a single layer. Regular large batches need ten trays; five are enough for first recipes.
WFD-K1000S has ten steel trays, 1100 W, a window and a 24-hour timer; WFD-K700BSS ten perforated trays with FAST and RAW modes; WFD-K650S is a compact steel cabinet with six trays. WFD-K600W has nine transparent trays, WFD-K500WR five round 35 cm sections with a timer, and WFD-K380W is a simple manual format with five transparent sections.
Cut food into even pieces, spread it in a single layer and keep the air openings clear. Put juicy foods lower so drips do not reach neighbouring trays. Wash and dry the trays completely after every use. Cool the finished food before packing and store it airtight.
The exact time depends on the variety, thickness and kitchen humidity; dry at 60 °C and check doneness after cooling: pliable slices with no moist spots.
Yes, following the WetAir recipes: slices up to 6 mm, preheating to 71 °C (poultry 74 °C), then drying at 60 °C for 5–6 hours.
Steel trays withstand meat and frequent washing, transparent ones show the process; fruit leather needs a solid sheet, berries and herbs a fine mesh.
