How to choose a humidifier
Start with the floor area: WetAir models cover roughly 20–40 m². For a larger or open-plan room pick a model with headroom or two units rather than one running flat out.
- The tank sets the run time: 2.3 l lasts about 7 hours, 4 l about 13 hours at 300 ml/h.
- Every model switches off automatically when the water runs out, so overnight use is safe for the appliance.
- Ultrasonic humidifiers are quiet and frugal: MH-204 and WH-411 draw 25 W.
- Use filtered or distilled water — hard water leaves white dust on furniture and scale on the membrane.
- Do not add essential oils or fragrances to the tank; MH-204 has a separate aroma container.
The WetAir range
The compact MH-204B and MH-204W have a 2.3 l tank, mechanical controls and a night light and cover rooms up to 35 m²; MH-250 (2.6 l) and MH-280 (3.2 l) are top-filling, and MH-280 adds touch controls, a timer, humidity setting and a sleep mode. WH-411B and WH-411W with a 4 l tank cover 20–40 m²; WH-535 and WH-735 offer 3.5 l: WH-535 has touch buttons, WH-735 digital controls with a timer, humidity setting, UV lamp and Wi-Fi. Use and care
Stand the unit on a level, stable surface away from heat sources and keep the mist off wallpaper, furniture and electronics. Rinse the tank and clean the mist outlet regularly, and always unplug the humidifier before cleaning. Replacement parts are listed under filters and accessories.
Frequently asked questions
What area does a WetAir humidifier cover?
Roughly 20–40 m² according to the manuals. In a room with a high ceiling humidity rises more slowly, so choose a model with headroom.
Why does white dust appear on furniture?
Those are minerals from hard water. Switch to filtered or distilled water; MH-204 has a softening cartridge rated for about 400 l.
Can the humidifier run overnight?
Yes. A 4 l tank runs for about 13 hours, and the unit switches itself off when the tank is empty.
