How to install a portable air conditioner

Stand the unit upright on a level floor, leave the manual's clearances and route the supplied exhaust hose outdoors without extending or sharply bending it. Seal the gap around the window adapter. If the unit was tilted more than 45 degrees during transport, leave it upright for at least 24 hours before starting.
Choose a practical position
Use a level floor near a suitable window and outlet. Keep the air inlet and outlet clear and make sure the unit can be moved without stressing the hose.
Route and seal the exhaust
Use the supplied exhaust hose, do not replace or extend it, and avoid bends. Route it outdoors and seal the remaining gap around the window adapter to reduce hot-air return.
Plan condensate and first start
Drainage depends on the mode and model: dehumidifying, heating or high-humidity operation may require a drain hose. After a tilt greater than 45 degrees, leave the unit upright for at least 24 hours.
