How to choose an air purifier for your home
Room size, filter composition and regular filter replacement decide the result more than the number of buttons.

The short answer
Pick a model rated for at least your room's area: WAP-35 up to 35 m², WAP-50 up to 80 m². Check that the filter is a combined one: a coarse layer, activated carbon for odours and HEPA for fine dust, pollen and allergens. Keep the unit running regularly and replace the filter when the indicator says so.
Three filtration stages
The fan draws air through a coarse pre-filter that traps large particles, hair and pet fur. Activated carbon then absorbs odours and harmful vapours, and the HEPA filter traps fine dust, pollen, bacteria and mites. WAP-50 is fitted with a class H13 HEPA filter.
Coverage and performance
The coverage figure is stated in the manual: 35 m² for WAP-35 and 80 m² for WAP-50. Open doors or a high ceiling increase the air volume, so choose a model with headroom rather than one at its limit.
Sensor and automatic mode
WAP-50 has a PM2.5 sensor with colour-coded air-quality indication and adjusts its speed itself in AUTO mode. That suits continuous operation: the unit speeds up during cooking or cleaning and quietens when the air is clean.
Noise, night mode and timer
For a bedroom the night mode matters: on WAP-50 it runs almost silently with the display off. The WAP-50 timer is set from 1 to 24 hours, and four power levels plus Turbo give headroom for fast cleaning. Check the product card for the timer and night mode on other models.
Filter replacement and care
The filter indicator reminds you to replace it; reset the counter as the manual describes after fitting a new filter. Clean the coarse pre-filter regularly; the combined filter is replaced as a whole. The unit switches off when the cover is removed, so servicing is safe.

- Measure the room; the model's coverage must be at least as large.

- Plan a spot with clear space around the unit, away from heat sources.
